Garmin 550 stuck on route change

The screen says can’t change route and won’t budge ?

You seem to own several GPS devices. Is this old girl of some overriding value to you? The Garmin 550, great as it was, is now pretty long in the tooth. Besides doing the usual, hard reset and shaking like a snow globe, it might be that now is the moment to consign it to the back of the drawer.

Last time I had a Garmin stick I had to let the battery run down, then recharge, full reset then clean out all the old tracks and unwanted files, worked much better after.
